Goudereede is a tiny but prosperous harbour town in the Netherlands where, each year a committee presided over by painter, sculptor, printmaker, educator, mentor and tirelessly energetic administrator, Harald Jean Jassoy, organises a four day arts festival. For its 13th manifestation, I was grateful, to be invited to take part. As my debut exhibition, it was more vastly successful than I could ever have hoped.
There goes the neighbourhood! Much was made of the second image by the local newspaper where it was observed the that the louche content of some of the images (all mine) constituted an unusual site in a community so long established for its dower protestant respectability.
